Frequently Asked Questions

How long does pest control take?

This depends on the size of your property and the types of pests we are dealing with. Usually a smaller home will be under an hour and for larger properties two hours.

How long until I can enter my home after pest control?

For interior applications we ask that you stay out of your home for three hours after the treatment is finished - however this depends on the type of treatment and application method we are using. For most treatments you won't need to leave home at all. We will advise you on this at the time of booking.
For exterior services you can remain at home so long as your windows/doors are closed and pets are secured.

Are the products you use harmful to children and pets?

No. We choose New Zealand EPA (environmental protection authority) approved products that are safe for kids and pets to be around. These products are extensively tested before being approved for use in NZ. Our technicians are trained in the safe handling and application of pesticides but we prefer non-chemical treatment solutions where possible. The products we use are used in child-care centers, medical facilities, food manufacturing, schools and other sensitive locations throughout New Zealand.

How long does the pest treatment last for?

This all depends on what insect or animal problem we are taking care of. Most manufacturers of pest control products provide a 3 month warranty. Time of year the treatment is carried out, exposure to elements, house washing (removal of product) are some of the things that can affect the overall length and effectiveness of bugs sprays.

Why use a pest control professional?

Pests are often misdiagnosed and as a result the correct treatment is not carried out. Our pest control professional will identify the pest species and its source. We can then make the correct treatment plan using the most effective products (most of which are only available to licensed approved pest professionals) and up-to-date methods.
